Mental health problems in motherhood are common, but rarely discussed.

There are different types of post natal mental health problems and they can vary in severity. If you are feeling unwell after (or during) pregnancy, the important thing to try and remember is that you are not alone and that with help, things will get better.

The best thing you can do if you are struggling with your mental health is to contact your GP or Health Visitor and ask for an urgent appointment. If you would like information and support on postnatal mental health please look through the links below.

Bristol support groups


We are a group of mothers, most of who have suffered postnatal depression or distress after the birth of one or more of our babies. We offer support, advice, information and most of all a listening ear for any worries or concerns you may have.
